140 minutes later, we arrived in Kyoto. We did not want ot waste any time so we purchased some bus passes, went to our hotel, dropped our baggage, and immediately started exploring.

We walked around Nishiki Market for a while, where we stopped for a quick rest and some food, which made Ryu feel better (he had a bit of fever at the time). The weather was perfect so we decided to head for the northern part of the city to visit Kinkakuji.
