Chloé on the beach Poipu Beach, Kauai April 25, 1999

We were having so much fun on Maui that we were a bit reluctant to pack our things and fly to Kauai. Nevertheless, we eventually made it to Lihue airport, rented a green Pontiac Sunfire convertible and drove down to the Kiahuna Beachside.

The moment we opened the door of the unit we had rented for the week, we knew we had made the right decision. We could see the ocean right outside the patio doors across the living room! We immediately walked to the beach and discovered that a monk seal had decided to take an afternoon nap on the warm sand. This was going to be one week we would never forget.
