I decided that it was time to start updating the lemayfamily.com web site again. I have rarely been particularly inspired or motivated to write over the past two years so I hope to post a couple of updates before I change my mind again!

We moved to the United States in the summer of 2001 but came back to Canada in June 2002. Although the tragic events of September 11 influenced our decision, Yumi and I strongly felt that the financial benefits and potential career opportunities available in New York were not significant enough to justify the sacrifices that we would have had to make to stay in New Jersey. We just felt like we did not belong in America.

We purchased a little condo in Outremont and spent the summer making it comfortable and taking it easy. I started to look for work towards the end of August and found a job in early October. The children are reunited with their old friends, and Yumi is learning to drive around town. All things considered, moving back to Montreal was an excellent decision...
